The Asics GEL-Lyte III RE takes its inspiration from both the GEL-Lyte III and the GEL-Sight silhouettes. A hybrid design, the model bridges two different Asics eras and is constructed out of parts from both in near equal quantity. For example, the split-tongue is borrowed from the GL3, while the rear mudguards are synonymous with the GEL-Sight. The upper is doused with suede overlays and micro-perforated underlays, while the ASICS stripes embroidered on the toes evoke a retro aesthetic.
