For the next instalment of the A-ZX series, adidas lands in South Florida to collaborate on a ZX 5000 with the University of Miami. Coming together to celebrate the prestigious institution’s history of academic and athletic excellence, this unique take on the ZX 5000 silhouette takes inspiration from the school’s famed colour scheme. U is for the University of Miami Hurricanes.
The upper arrives in white patent leather and ballistic nylon design that carries throughout the majority of the sneaker’s build. This blank canvas allows the metallic “U” shaped heel clip in green and orange to pop and highlight the design. Matching colours are then added to the co-branded lace jewels, sock liners and tongue tabs while the University of Miami branding is added to the insoles and outsoles.
The adidas Originals x University of Miami ZX 5000 will release online and in-store on a first come, first served basis on Friday November 6th.
