Sean Wotherspoon is a name that has become synonymous with the sneaker industry, known by many as one of the founders of vintage Virginia-based sneaker store Round-Two. In October 2015, Wotherspoon would open a second boutique on the ever-popular Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, where they would sell a mix of vintage gear, streetwear and sneakers. Round-Two’s founders credit their Youtube channel for a big part of their success, posting 50-minute long videos of day-to-day life in the store – staff buying, selling, trading, and cameos from celebrities.

Today, he teams with adidas for a release many could not have seen coming – a collaboration with Hot Wheels.

The Hot Wheels brand is recognized as the biggest scale model toy car manufacturer in the world, their products are loved equally by adults as they are children, with many collectors paying substantial fees for rare models on the resale market.



The apparel for this collaboration features a bold blue racing jacket embroidered with Hot Wheels logos. A nylon mesh long-sleeve tee to match nylon shorts. A white graphic tee, bucket hat, and canvas tote.

The adidas Superturf Adventure arrives with white mesh under an array of Pink, Purple, Blue, and Yellow overlays. The Hot Wheels logo on the zip-up tongue sits alongside the brand’s slogan ‘It’s not the same without the flame.’ Hot Wheels badges on the heel are velcro so you can interchange them.

The sneaker, dubbed “Superturf Adventure” releases Thursday, 25th August.
