New Balance expands their Made in USA collection with Teddy Santis at the wheel. Their latest release includes two arrivals – the 990v2 “Chrysanthemum” and the 990v3 “Scarlet.”
The MADE In USA collection is a unique representation of quality craftsmanship. All products from The MADE in USA line are, well, made in the USA. New Balance represents a very small portion of the industry that still holds manufacturing operations in the United States, and we have to applaud them for making a conscious decision to maintain operations at home, employing hundreds of local workers in the process and ensuring high-quality materials are used in production.
The 990v2 drops in a vibrant red, made from long and short-hair suede for most of the upper, contrasted by a navy blue mesh insert. An even darker navy is used for the logo and the tongue, while white and off-white are used for the laces and the sole to complete the look.
The 990v3 differs completely from recent releases which have focused more on neutral earth tones. This silhouette arrives with striking red overlays atop the base of burgundy mesh, with slight hints of grey on the mesh. The brand’s signature ‘N’ logo and tongue appear in a matte-like grey, and a white and grey ENCAP sole unit completes the sneaker.
New Balance Made in USA 990v2 “Chrysanthemum” and 990v3 “scarlet” are now available online and in-store.
Not only are two new sneakers dropping, but there are also several clothing items that have been released. The collection includes four t-shirts, two hoodies and two crewnecks. Select items are now available online and in-store.
