Nike's New Lineup of Special Field Air Force 1

The Nike Special Field Air Force 1, known as the Nike SF Air Force 1, was first released back in 2016 as a rugged and military-inspired reinterpretation of the legendary sneaker Air Force 1.

This rendition features an exaggerated high top upper with two straps, a mix of premium waterproof leather and ballistic nylon, a suede lining, full-length Air, and a hidden pocket under the gusseted tongue. Some of the releases will feature the AF1 branding along the side, a zipper that runs down the middle of the boot with the look being topped off with Nike’s signature Air Force sole.

The Air Force 1 first came out in 1982 as a basketball shoe named after Air Force One—the aircraft that carries the U.S. President. When it first came out it revolutionised the game for players like Moses Malone and Charles Barkley and rapidly gained traction from the locker room to the streets to the core of hip-hop culture.

Today the Air Force 1 stays true to its roots with soft, springy cushioning and a massive midsole, but the Nike Air technology takes a backseat to the shoe's status as an icon.

The infamous Air Force 1 is celebrating its 35th anniversary and The Good Life will be releasing several colourways for Men and Women. Keep an eye on our website and Instagram pages for release updates.
