New Balance MADE in USA 990v1

Teddy Santis is the founder and creative director of NYC apparel and lifestyle brand Aimé Leon Dore (ALD) and has released his first seasonal collection as Creative Director for New Balance MADE in USA. As part of the “MADE” in USA” collection and in honor of 2022 marking the 40th anniversary of the iconic 990 silhouette, the Queens native has designed seasonal, limited-edition models of the 990v1, 990v2 and 990v3. The first 990 is reimagined with a colour palette inspired by the original grey 996. Starting off with a breathable mesh base that rolls along the toe, tongue and laterals, swatches of hairy grey suede is overlayed throughout the rest of the upper. A cream-coloured stability heel-clip rests above a full-length ENCAP midsole for unmatched comfort, sandwiched above a black rubber outsole.
