In 1991, Tinker Hatfield, designer of the Air Max, created the Nike Air Huarache. The running shoe featured a neoprene upper, which at the time had only been used in footwear on surf booties. In fact, Tinker got the idea during a water-skiing trip. He thought it would be cool if the neoprene in the sneaker was visible, so he designed the Huarache with an exoskeletal approach. For its 30th Anniversary, Nike is bringing back the iconic "Scream Green" colourway, which was last seen in 2014.
