Goldwin’s journey began back in 1950 with a small knit fabric factory in Oyabe City, Japan. Originally known as Tsuzawa Knit Fabric Factory, the company soon transitioned into a full-fledged sporting goods manufacturer, launching its own brand—GOLDWIN—in 1958. Since then, Goldwin has continuously redefined the intersection of functionality and design, creating products that are as timeless as they are innovative.
Goldwin began in the 1960s by pioneering ski wear that combined advanced technology with stylish design, setting trends on the slopes. By 1964, the brand had partnered with international manufacturers to refine their ski sweaters, gaining global popularity for their functional and sleek aesthetic.
In 1987, Goldwin solidified its commitment to quality by becoming the official uniform supplier for the Swedish National Ski Team, receiving valuable feedback from top athletes. This legacy continued into the 2010s with sponsorships of the British Alpine Ski National Team and skier Dave Ryding.
In 2016, Goldwin expanded beyond skiing with its LIFESTYLE collection, blending performance and fashion with minimalist designs. The brand further evolved in 2018, updating its logo to reflect innovation while staying true to its skiing roots. By 2019, Goldwin introduced outdoor and athletic collections, including the C3fit compression gear, combining rugged performance with urban style.
Goldwin’s designs embody a minimalist Japanese aesthetic, characterised by clean lines and timeless appeal. The brand places a strong emphasis on simplicity, ensuring that each piece is versatile enough for both extreme outdoor activities and everyday wear. With a focus on eco-friendly materials and ethical production practices, Goldwin maintains its high standards of quality while avoiding flashy logos and unnecessary details. The result is smart, stylish apparel that works seamlessly in any setting.

In 2022, Goldwin launched Goldwin 0, an experimental platform blending functional clothing across categories, labels, and borders. This initiative represents Goldwin’s ongoing pursuit of the highest quality and timeless design, grounded in the natural world, science, and cutting-edge technology.
