In 2024, adidas SPZL marked its ten year anniversary. A decade defined by heritage, community, and the kind of obsessive attention to detail that turned terrace culture into a timeless movement. Now, as the brand steps into its next chapter, it returns to its roots.
The Fall/Winter 2025 collection revisits archival design codes and reinterprets them for today. A confident nod to where it all began and where it’s heading.
This season captures the quiet rhythm of autumn — the shift in light, the soft chill, the need for pieces that adapt with the weather. Shot through an atmospheric lens and fronted by English football star Declan Rice, the campaign explores the connection between performance and personality. Declan embodies that intersection perfectly: calm, assured, and always ready for what’s next.
At the core of the collection sits the Sunnyhurst SPZL Anorak, a fully seam-sealed, rain-resistant outerwear piece designed for changing conditions. It is joined by the Bramhope SPZL Blouson, a lightweight Primaloft-lined follow-up to last season’s Hudswell jacket, and the utilitarian Merkland SPZL Jacket in deep charcoal. Together, they form a study in functionality and restraint, outerwear made to move effortlessly through the season.
Elsewhere, SPZL’s knack for balance continues. The Wilpshire Hoodie and matching track pants offer relaxed, considered comfort, while a rotation of graphic tees, polos, and sweaters rounds out the collection with ease. Accessories stay true to the brand’s understated identity with the Ferndene Bag in olive, the Grisedale Hat with detachable fleece liner, and the Mod Trefoil Keyring and Socks, subtle extensions of the SPZL world made for everyday use.
Footwear remains the heartbeat of the range. Archival silhouettes return with updated materials and refined craftsmanship, from the Samoa II SPZL inspired by a vintage Japanese prototype to the München II SPZL, which channels the spirit of classic terrace design. The Lytham SPZL revives the adidas Freizeit lineage, while the Wensley SPZL takes a darker turn with textured suede. Outdoor-ready pairs like the NY II Outdoor SPZL and Grisedale SPZL complete the offering with waterproof protection and a rugged edge.
Together, these pieces reflect what has always made SPZL special. An appreciation for history, function, and community, reinterpreted through a modern eye. The FW25 Mainline collection feels like a natural evolution: familiar yet forward-looking, understated yet deeply considered.
