The GEL-KAYANO 12.1 revisits the 2006 iteration of the Kayano silhouette, co-created with KITH, pairing its heritage design details with a contemporary midsole system.
The upper takes structural and visual cues from European gothic armour, reflected in its rigid, metallic aesthetic. Open mesh underlays sit beneath the surface to support airflow and keep foot temperature regulated during wear.
The midsole is carried over from the GEL-NIMBUS 17, a tooling system originally developed to sustain comfort across marathon distances. It combines dual GEL technology inserts with a FLUIDRIDE cushioning structure, providing a technical foundation that extends well beyond the shoe's design references.
